I agree. Some laws are just friggin retarded. Whoever is involved in passing or comming up with these laws are freakin pansy morons.


Anyways..I also live in Mass. And I have yet to be told by some dumb cop that my exhaust is to loud...but then again ..i dont have SLP ..i have flows. But those are also pretyy deep and loud moslty at WOT though

 

It is not legal in a Harley either, its just what they choose to enforce the laws on. Around me they generally dont mess with domestics but I have seen imports get pulled for exhaust.

But the loud exhaust is no different than a loud stereo in a car or house, a loud party, etc. Basically distrubing the peace more or less.

 

Domestics/muscle cars should be waived. Imports with those superloud fart can should be the targets. High pitch *** poop canz.

The reason Harley's and other bikes get away with being loud is it's a natural sound for them to be loud, that why cops look the other way. Half the time you never know which bike has had the pipes changed from OEM. Everyone bashes on a cop for writing a ticket...even if you think your car isnt loud. If he/she thinks it's loud, he/she can write a ticket even if they dont have a dB meter....It's up to the judge to decide the verdict. Get lawyer and a have it taken somewhere to have it metered and if it's below that state or local level then you can fight it in court, altho you still might not win. Depends on the judges mood.

I have a Spintech o/r x and straight pipes....it's loud as ****, but i never get bothered about it at all. I've stepped on it beside a cop just to do it and see how his reaction would be, "hey man it's a little loud dont you think?" I replied "yea i know thats why i dont get down on it too much" he laughed and asked "how much HP did you gain?" I told him "18-23 or so" and was impressed and was like "well try and keep it down when your in traffic or around a neighborhood". Nothing more was said and have never had any trouble with it being loud, just dont get down on it too much and dont cruise at a high RPM!
