new job offer
I got offered a new job today while i was at work. The man own a luxury used car dealership. He has everything to old mercedes to bentlys and older ferraris and lambo's. he want me to go in after i go to work tomorrow at 4 to detail a older yellow lambo who needs to be cleaned waxedx nd polished
i would love to hear some good tipps on how to do the perfect car detailer i ahve to bring myt own stuff so im bringing 9 microfiber towels applicator ads turtle wax ice meguires nxt ech wax mothers plastic polish mothers rims cleaner and tutle wax tire gel its all i ahve right now help on how to do the perfect detail this job pays huge bucks if i get it |
What is the condition of the paint in? Swirls? Oxidation? Scratches?
You need to clay the car right after you wash it.... |
im not sure he didn;t say but those r the products i ahve to work with for now because im low on money until thursday so i dont ahve no money to go spend 20$ on claybar
|
well the only products you have are not for the perfect detail. If this is a chance to land more work and make bigger bucks then I suggest you go and spend some money to do the job right the first time. Again you have to make a lasting impression and you are working on a highend car.

hard to say without knowing what condition the finish is in. For over the counter stuff and given the short period of time you have you will have to go with meguiars products; which are good products. You should find out or go look and see what condition the car is in. Is that possible?
|
Clay bar it for sure, Meguires Gold class and NXT stuff is good, but if you want to land the job for sure, invest in a Porter Cable buffer for the future. Thats how the pro's do it, and will make your life easier as well.

i'm suprised nobody else has said www.autopia-carcare.com yet, although with shipping it would probably take more time to get to you than you have.
edit: didn't realize you had to go tommorow but autopia can at least give you tips and how-tos |
He owns a high luxury auto dealer and hes making you bring the supply?, Wtf, If i owned a dealer i wouldn't tell some little kid to bring supplys and for him to phuck everything up, something fishy there man

Hopefully all you do is the detailing and don't have to write up the customers ticket.
|
you have minimal experience detailing and you are gonna go into bentleys, ferraris, lamborghinis, and porsches?
hahahaha youve got quite a bit to learn first. read the sticky at the top of the show shine and tunes section. its there for a reason, and this is the main one... |
also i hope you dont even touch one of those old cars. one mistake and you mess that paint up.
|

If this is the process you used it is wrong:D...you did not even prep the paint outside of the claying. You need a swirl remove or polish atleast before applying the wax. Oh and dont apply the turtle wax then top it with ps21; that is :nono: |
