Exclamation General, Random question..

Just out of curiosity, if you were to get an underbody kit, or mirror's with turn signals, or even just replacing your stock turn signals with a colored bulb, what's legal and what's not.

From my understanding, Red and Blue are obviously emergency colors, and If I understand this correctly, you ARE allowed to have these colors on your car, as long as they don't strobe or flash while the vehicle is in motion.

Reason being, I recently recieved a FREE Blue LED Neon underbody kit, has all the fancy schmancy stuff strobes, different effects, music sensitive yadda yadda yadda.

I've also been tempted to get the M3 style mirrors with Turn signals, and Blue LED's and wasn't sure if the PoPo's would have a big problem with that.. Any info on the subject would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!!

Depends on which state you're in. In Texas you cannot have red, blue, green, what ever anywhere on the body of the car. They probably wouldn't care for it too much.

Yeah, That's pretty much my feeling, and if Underglow was illegal everywhere, I don't see there being a market for it so that wouldn't make any since... lol I know plenty of people with underglow, just none with blue.. My main question is for the Mirrors, I love the M3 Style mirrors, but don't wnat Amber signals... I guess i'll just take my chances with the blue and if they b!tch about it i'll have to change the LED's HAHA!!

You'll get pulled over with anything blue lit on the car. Its illegal, plain and simple. Same goes for red. Its amber for a reason.

I see tons of cars with those blue LED things on thier hoods. They are pretty small though. I thought all that was ok as long as it doesent flash or distract.
maybe laws are a bit more laxed in colorado.

Plus everyone has glowing red on thier car.
We call em tail lights.

Yes, i am being a smart ass. LOL.

Did you not catch the "FREE" part? Plus, They actually do look quite good if installed correctly..
