nice looking cars that...are slow?

I've noticed most supercars have awesome looks and even modern cars like mustang, firebird, and corvette are pretty quick and have great looks. But are there any cars that are pretty nice looking...but slow as dirt? I'm talkin out-of-factory cars...not some visually modded v6 mustang or 4 cylinder eclipse. We know there are ugly looking, fast cars. But are there any nice looking, slow cars?

And by slow, I'll say 0-60 in 7 seconds or slower

That is a bit over-stated.

If you compare a $36k WRX to a $25 Mustang GT, OK...we are not as fast. But, if you compare like cost to like cost, we are plenty fast.

Also dont forget that the Mustang are mass produced in large quantities. The Neon SRT's....GONE! Most of these newer, tuner cars that are fast, are only made in limited quantities.

BTW, any of the new Dodge vehicles are slow as ****! Unless they have a Hemi or an SRT badge.

I always see mustangs compared to all these other cars and everyone seems to claim they are slow. You compare a mid 14 second car like the WRX to a vehicle that is able to run a flat 14 with a good driver. Now for 25 grand, thats damn good. Mine is plenty fast. It was fast before mods, and its surely fast now that ive got more done. I think most of you take your weak driving skills and use your car as an excuse as to why its slow, which is pretty pathetic. Its pretty common to see sn95s running 12.5-12.9 with gears, bolt-ons and slicks.

I have three things to say. The first two are quotes from people on the MT.com Forums, one of them from this thread.

1) MTSHAMBLES - "Enjoy your Mustang because it's a Mustang."

2) Sorry, I don't remember who said this, and I'm paraphrasing it, as I don't remember it word for word - "When ever I meet a Camaro owner who's going on and on about how his Camaro is this and his Camaro is that, I simply reply that my Mustang is one thing his Camaro isn't; Still In Production."

3) I find it both funny and flattering that in almost all arguements of how fast this\that\the other car is, it's almost always in comparrison to a Mustang of one year and/or model of some kind.

Crossfire. Standard Crossfire is 3061 lbs, manual, v6, 215HP, runs a 14.7 ET in the 1/4. Price 30K. (I looked the time up online, they said a 99-04 stang GT runs a 14.1, so the times seem about right.)

I would not qualify a 14.7 as a slow car.

So.... lets go same year vs year, Stock cars that can be purchased NEW for 25k. What else is as fast as the mustang? I always thought all the other cars in the same "class" as a mustang were all more expencive arent they?

his car runs mid 13's(SAE corrected, mind you) with a few bolt-ons and all of a sudden he's better than everyone. And his car looks nice? I'm with you on everything jack except that part. Everything is stock, visually, except a damn gas cap.....wooooopty dooooo
