i dunno if its worth it to put nitrous on a 86k miles car...could possible easily blow the engine or do some damage to it because of it being so old...

personally i think u should not get nitrous...just get a new engine because all the time ur fillin up the bottle its going to add up!!!

mine has 82XXX miles on it running strong and I have a 100 shot no issues yet. As long as the car has been well maintained then it will be fine.

if you buy a new engine, just buy a GT engine or something with more than 6 cylinders

Yeah, technically he could have bought his old car back... but... it is now in what we will call "Less Than New" condition...

To be honest first off a new V6 motor isnt worth the money unless its built up a bit.

Another option is pulling out what you got in there and rebuilding it with a few things done maybe some porting a polishing.

Plain and simple no point in putting the same thing back in there when you can build it up while its out.

If you must, just buy the spray. Personally, Id save the money for a new car, but thats prolly not in the cards.

your motor will be plenty safe if it runs fine the miles dont really matter. I have said this many time before i have 2 freinds who have cars with 150,xxx miles plus now and one sprays a 100 the other a 150 wet there motors are just fine its all a matter of is the motor in good condition.

And i would save alot fo money and just get a used wet kit from NX,compucar,NOS,zex etc.... a wet kit is easy to use way easier to hook up and hits harder then a dry kit. Plus the kit add's the fuel for you so you dont have to worry about your stock injectors having to do it. And you have a full metal intake manifodl so it snot like its going ot die. My freind has been know to use his 1225 pills a few times in his 00 v6 and normaly uses his 100 all other times.

What happened on the 6th time? LOL

Hmmm Nitrous, damnit I want that!...but why not do gears and t-lok first, and some more bolt ons before you start sprayin, true it'll be alot faster but idk might be somethin to think about...if you went with a wet kit u might as well get a purge and bottle warmer as well and thats guna set you back atleast 1000 without neone installing it for you...where as gears or headers/mid pipe would run you half that... give or take...

Thats what I realized. If I did it I would do NX base kit with the gen 2 kit for all safety features. I would also want to get my autometer guages for nitrous and fuel pressure, plus the pod, theres another 400. plus spark plugs and fuel pump, 150. Plus the switches in the cup holder sold here on MT, is another 100. I'm looking at 1500 before install and tune. Then add costs of bottle refills.

Shiattt.. screw that, I'm saving money for an appartment and moving out. Then building my engine over and throwing on either a D-1 Procharger or Twin Turboes.

Yea. And for me, like said, I want to get autometer gauges to match the rest of my interior instead of that generic nitrous pressure NX gauge.

Autometer lunar series nitrous pressure: 120
" " " fuel pressure: 230
Center pod:50

Yea it adds up

In the NX Gen2 kit, there's a nitrous pressure gauge included.

But I would personally also want to get a fuel pressure gauge with any forced induction application.

come one guys lets be serious if all you want is a basic kit get the venom, with that kit you dont need a purge or all the other stuff you would need with the nx, only thing i would recomend would be the bottle warmer, And having someone install it? give me a break, it is so easy and dont let anyone tell you differently, and you do not need a tune unless you are going over a 100-125 shot, and spark plugs, i got my autolite 103's for 11 dollars, and your stock injectors and fuel pump can handle up to a 125 shot, guys do your research it does not cost 1000 dollars!!!

venom 549
plugs-11
warmer-100
install-free
tune- not needed with venom
bottel fill- 35-40 can last as long as you let it
before you know it filling the bottle will be like filling your gas tank maybe not as often

Still for me, add the switches and the gauges, another 500 dollars. That's $1,160.

you dont really need the guages but go ahead if you really want them, and another thing you dont have to get all that stuff all at once, the great thing about nitrous is that you can install it a little bit at a time, and you could just get the kit and run a small shot to be on the safe side and then when you have the money to get all the stuff you want you can upgrade to a bigger nozzle.

I'm sry. but I won't throw something that makes that much power on my car with out a.) dyno tune whether or not it monitors A/F or not b.) gauges - i aint gonna be at WOT and run the risk of losing fuel and go BOOM c.) not having the correct safety precautions in place

Call me ****, I admit, I am. But nothing goes on my car with out doing it 100% correct.
