Default 4.6 4v question

I was just looking at pics in my 5.0 magazine and i noticed the plugs are in the valve covers of the 4.6 cammer. I know on the old cars the hemi engines are recognizable by the spark plugs in the valve covers....so does that mean the 4.6 cammer has a hemispheric head design?

No, as far as I know, its not a hemi-style head. Just cause the spark plugs are like that, doesnt necessarily mean its a hemi head.

The hemi in those motors has nothing to do with the heads. They get the name because the piston tops are round or hemispherical.

Then it would have a little something to do with the heads then.

The heads are almost the same. just bigger i believe. The pistons are himispherical so the cams can drop the intake/exhaust valves lower into the combustion champer to create more air flow. If they weren't the pistons would knock with the valves equaling one very sick engine.
