There are 2 long sliding pieces that you remove and undo the harness and thats it.Very easy.

You already have 2 other threads asking this question. Why ask it for the 3rd time?

Idk if they're are retaining brackets on his, he has a 98. The reason I say is that my friends car is a 95 and they're are no sliding retaining brackets behind the headlights, and I think they are the same headlights.
My advice is look at it again, it's prolly so simple you're just looking way to far in depth into the thing. I did this with my 01 headlight set.

Im the dumbass, and you are the guy who cant pull 2 metal tabs out of each headlight? They take 25 second including diconnecting the wiring harness. I think the dumbasses are mixed up here...

Call me what you want, but this is an embarassing post from someone as familiar with the mustang forums as you are. If you are putting in euros, thats your perrogative, but to post how to do it.....
Putting in headlights is not even considered an install to me.

matt, not everyone works at a freaking ford dealership so of COURSE everything comes easy to you. If you whine to a math teacher about algebra, he'd think you're an idiot bc that stuff is 2nd nature to him. Not everyone is stupid because YOU know how to do it

Actually its a Chevy, Cadillac, and Saab dealership...
I dont care who you are, if someone tells you its held in by 2 metal tabs, and you ask 2 more times, you are stupid. Putting air in your tires requires more steps and time than pulling out your headlights.

Again, I really dont think that his 98 has two metal tabs. I KNOW the 95 does not and aren't they the same headlight design?

Ok, I'm new here but I can tell you that my stang (94 GT) headlights are not quite that easy to take out. Easy to put in, not so easy to take out. The corner units are easy; one nut. The front assembly is a little tougher, you have to turn two long bolts and they are very thin with little room to get a wrench on. Or you have to cut off the holders. Either way, not just push and snap.
Just my two cents..... Be nice. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry...

alright to keep it on track, on the 94 to 98 models theres three or four long thin bolts, you can adjust with a 4 mm wrench, at the base of the bolts theres plastic domes with 2 flaps. you squeeze in those flaps and push away from the car. once you get them all unlocked like that then you can pull the headlight out. sorry but the 94-98 headlight suck major balls to get out than the 99-04. i suffered just as much as you with headlight removal and installation. also as a side note, take it to a mechanic to adjust the headlights, i broke mine trying to adjust cuz theyre not as easy as the new models to do.

holy old thread!
but to properly install euros, place them on the counter first, grab large hammer of choice, smash repeatedly, place in garbage, you have now installed euro's on your garbage can; congrats.

I know the hammer works well, but I prefer the freehand method. Merely smashing the housings against a brick wall or a concrete floor seems to work effectively. Its for those who prefer a more hands on DIY. Just remember to always eye protection.

There is also a long range method of install prep where you use your firearm of choice from a safe distance to avoid the debris

I have always thought that it was simply enough to install euro lights with a baseball bat. Tape the lights to the end and swing away. Thanks for the euro install tech, nice to see some people who know what there talking about.

That could have very serious negative effects on your tires
it's best to keep the euros as far from the mustang as possible at all times

LOL. You should be able to look at the lights and figure it out. Older buics are even easier. They have two big nuts on the top that you unscrew and the light falls out.
