Default if it all works out....

well, long story short, if sumtin happens and my mom keeps her word...

i SHOULD be getting 6K dollars...roughly...lol

i was thinking of getting a S/C for my car(only other mod ill have currently, is my exhaust im getting soon SLP1), problem is, idk which to get and how much installation will cost?

how much is a good kit WITH installation, UNDER 6K total? ((also, is 68K miles TOO much to be running a S/C?))

Yes, If it had 50k miles or less then I'd put a blower on the car..You should think about getting a built motor or trying to find an 03-04 cobra motor..I think you would need a diff hood tho not sure.

68k isn't too many miles. I'd say save up your own money too and get a mongoose kit from MPH.

your retarded.

just get a blower install it yourself its not hard at all. then get some rims springs exhaust what ever. by the time you hit a 100k on the block you should have enough funds to put a built block in.

Yeah dude I have 80,000 miles and running a 100 shot. By the time I hit 100,000 miles i'll have the engine and tranny either rebuilt to handle a larger shot. Same principle as long as your engine is kept in goos shape doing regular maintenence theres isnt much of a problem.

First off.......03-04 motor is badass its supercharged already and the internals are forged.....uh yeah enough said there.......now the install would be a pain let alone finding a donor car.... Don't even ask how much for a new 03-04 motor better off getting a forged GT engine and calling it a day

Next off if you got a S/C just get the damn kit and be done with it...everyone is saying the MPH Mongoose kit because you dont need anything else cuz its in the kit.

Maybe call me dumb, but just spend the money on everything else...... I have about 5K to spend this year too. I'm doing an all out suspension, finishing my bolt ons, upgrade the tranny with a new convertor, valvetrain, and maybe clutches and then a few more looks...... I'm keeping my car until out of college, by then I'll have 100K+ miles on it and then I'll drop in a new shortblock. THEN supercharger, safest and smartest way to go IMO. Also the car would be all built and ready for the awesome power of a blower, the block will be able to handle it, the suspension would be beefed, and the tranny could handle it.

With you being an auto, being safe and ONLY at 8psi, 365RWHP. The tranny really holds you back here. Same car but manual might hit 390RWHP. Also, the stock air flow would blow *****.

Stupid question, the torque convertor is a great mod to do, but can it make the auto more efficient? Meaning will it show a little more HP gain on a dyno???

so basically, with buying a S/C, need more cash to buy other parts to make sure the S/C works well and efficently?

or could do wut white said....mods mods mods

full exhaust, gears, tb, etc...

wheels,hood, etc...

but idk, almost 400RWHP would be pretty nice tho...rofl...

after S/C, we talkn LOW 13's HIGH 12's in times? jw

You're basically right on. But with a blower, you're gonna break things on that stock motor, and risking hurting that stock block. Say the worst happens and you blow the block, you're screwed, just spent all that on a s/c and now you have nothing left.

A 03/04 Cobra long block, not even an engine, just the long block is 7,695.00 Brand new of course.

You know what I'd do? IF IF you wanted to really put effort in it, do a 5.4L DOHC engine. A 5.4L SOHC is kinda a waste of money imo. Try a 5.4L DOHC. At Steenracing they did a 5.4L DOHC single 101mm turbo, all out with full race heads, cams, etc. Numbers on it? 1,488RWHP, 1007?RWTQ.

I stand corrected..... 03/04 ENGINE with supercharger is 7,495. But you still need harness pulleys, headers, etc.

I'm retarded for stating my opinion? Stanger00 aren't you the same person that blew your tranny? Oh yea thats right. Sorry but personally if my car had 68k miles I wouldn't put a S/C on it..I'd rather do bolt on's and a tune and alot of nice little dress ups..but don't call me retarded when your dumbass has no room to talk..thx

IceFreezen, Spraying is alot cheaper then investing all the money that you have to on a S/C..I mean when I hit 80k miles on my car I will be trading it in and getting a new car, But I am already trading in my car this summer and getting a 5 spd mach 1..Auto's just suck and are no fun...

i like the pink cars...lol

and autos arnt NOT fun, just not exiting to drive...lol

im sticking with my car for ATLEAST 3 yrs....so i need to kinda plan out what im doin and sumhow be able to get a new engine and stuff in 3 years so i dont got too many miles....if i could SOMEHOW keep the car for along time and have it upgraded alot, id love to keep it, but idk yet... might sound retarded to keep an 00 GT huh? =\

Imma prolly go into MT and make a big shopping cart for fun and see what i could get and i could ALWAYS do all these mods, and save alittle of it and start saving for a used new engine and etc, and by yr 3 of sooner get a S/C...but it all depends on the monmey flow and what i decide to do...

nah, It's all factory as of now (besides the radio). IT's the tan/parchment, and damn I wish it was black. (all that stuff on the list is a "to do". Just starting to order the stuff.)

I'm in the process now of figuring the cost of changing the interior over to black. I have a friend who does custom interiors and want to do a DSG/Black scheme.
