I have a 2003 Gt with a Magnapack catback. I want to get longtube headers. Should i go with the X or H and what brand should i get. I hear that slp is good but i would like some advice. Thanks

I understand that X-pipes free up a couple of HP over the H-pipes.The main difference is the sound.X-pipes have a higher frequency raspy sound and H-pipes have more of the lower muscle car sound.

I like the sound of H's better, I have had both h and x. Its just a matter of preference. You'll prob get 300 responses on this one. X pipes sound crappy with chambered mufflers.

Thanks for the input. One more thing, does it matter if you have a slp header and a bbk H or X for example. Didnt know if having different manufacturers for the whole exhaust system matters since I have a magnaflow catback. Let me know, Thanks

I think the headers and midpipe must be the same brand to match up. The midpipes are designed to fit to the stock catback as the catbacks are designed to fit the stock midpipe.

I believe SLP LT's will only work with their mid-pipes, but I think some of the other brands can fit certain midpipes.. I dunno about the other brands so I couldn't tell ya
