exhuast problem
ok well when i first got my car when i hit the gas (not even flooring it) i heard a faint clicking on drivers side, not really thinking bout it i just forgot bout it, now i put on my exhauts system, the clickuing has become ALOT louder and annoying. i was thinking the connection from the headers to the h pipe is loose, tightened the SHAT outta it and its still clicking, and while im at a light or just chillin there and have the heat on, it smells like exhaust ALSO when i first start it, it idles really high like 1200. someone said the same thing happened to them and its sjut a noise the car makes? lol i dunno if its what im hearing or hes jsut a moron what is a matter? i was thinking headers gasket? any ideas?

As far as the idling goes, its fairly normal for all cars to idle high when you first start them. In cooler weather the engine needs to heat up before you see your idle drop back to a more "normal" level. 1200 really isnt that bad though. My NORMAL idle nowadays is 900-1000 rpm. Then again I have an offroad pipe, which tends to up the idle a little bit.

detonation your motor blew up get a new one....plus you spun all your rod bearings....!!!! :bash:
..... just kidding. it sounds like a leak from the header/manifold to the midpipe. take it off and re install it, with a new gasket if it takes gaskets..but do it on a lift with good tools...since obviously your previous method wasnt the best
