My battery is the stock one and doenst hold a good charge......and I was out there for maybe 2-3 hours with the lights on in the car and the radio on....since the car isnt on the cars alternater cant recharge the battery hence it dies and you cant turn the car on without electricity........I didnt think that i'd be out there that long.....oh well **** happens but still cant get the key out

Update after doing several tests to diagnose whats going on i've come to 2 possible things..

1. Mustangs have sensitive brake pedal sensors if they are pressed in like half way, the igntion will not let the key out.

2. The Shifter is not completely at park. which I doubt is the case because I tried pushing it a bit further with no success.

-Cant test theory one untill the car can be started and the brake is released fully
