Default Wispering/leak sound???

well ever since I got my clutch replaced, my car sounds like SH*T in low rpms. They had to take my exhuast off to do my clutch. I took it in once already for an exhuast leak, they "fixed" it. I could still hear it. Took it in again, the guy said there was nothing at all, we even went under neath my car, and he showed me theres no leaks. So now im starting to think; could it be something else? if so what?

in low rpms, you hear a whispering sound, like air is coming from somewhere, but it doesnt make a PSSSSSSSSSSST sound the air sounds like its comming out slowly, but enough to hear it, and enough to sound like crap in low rpms, smetimes i can even hear it in higher rpms, accelerating i hear friggen air instead of an exhuast note

im pissed because the reason i bought an exhaust was to sound awesome, and i did before i got my clutch swapped...i even rode around with the guy, and i could clearly hear it but he couldnt...

so does anyone have any idea what this could be??

dude....I have the same EXACT thing as you. I've made multiple threads about it in the past, and nobody knows. BUt I DO know its my x-pipe bc it started right after i put it on. And even when the catback was put on shortly after, the noise can still be heard. I imagine its the cutout part of the X where they separate it for easier shipping. the sound comes right from the drivers side, RIGHT where the cutout is.

danny - yeah, it was VERY VERY subtle, almost un hearable , and only hearable between certain rpms before the guys at the clutch shop did their stuff, now it sounds like crap and pisses me off

Or you could take to a muffler shop and run a leak test..
