help with diy motor change info?

hey guys about to attempt replacing a 3.8 v6 in a 1997 mustang with a 302 carbed, want to kno if the is a section or something that will show me step by step what i need to do? im hoping to eliminate the computer and fuel injection,so i need to kno things like tranny compatibility, motor mounts, how to hook up power for the fuel pump and so on any thoughts or leads will be greatly appreciated will start disconnecting v6 tomorrow and go from there so i`ll be here awhile. thnx bb

Just out of curiousity, What are going to be doing with the car?
If you put a carb'd 302 in it, it wont pass OBD2 inspection, so that kinda rules out street car.

i guess i`ll elaborate a little, head gasket just blew on the v6 so we decided instead of rebuilding we want to put in a carbed 302 with a disty and eliminate the computer, run headers and dual exhaust and be dome with it,we r mechanically inclined but have never attempted a motor swap,so thats the reason for the post what all`s involved?tranny fit? motor mounts?i can do the electrical for the ignition and sensors, but i wasnt sure about the fuel pump so also wanted some info on that?i know theres alot involved but its an extra car that we can do at a pace,i also know the radiator has to be changed i have a 5.0 fan now....so any input or leads to a diy online manual would be great thnx in advance for any and all help. bb

What I'm saying is when it comes time to get the car inspected, being a '97, it has OBD2 and when you pull all that out, needless to say, it won't pass inspection.

The swap itself is pretty simple, I hate carbs personally.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to swap rear ends too.
