Just out of curiousity, What are going to be doing with the car?
If you put a carb'd 302 in it, it wont pass OBD2 inspection, so that kinda rules out street car.

i guess i`ll elaborate a little, head gasket just blew on the v6 so we decided instead of rebuilding we want to put in a carbed 302 with a disty and eliminate the computer, run headers and dual exhaust and be dome with it,we r mechanically inclined but have never attempted a motor swap,so thats the reason for the post what all`s involved?tranny fit? motor mounts?i can do the electrical for the ignition and sensors, but i wasnt sure about the fuel pump so also wanted some info on that?i know theres alot involved but its an extra car that we can do at a pace,i also know the radiator has to be changed i have a 5.0 fan now....so any input or leads to a diy online manual would be great thnx in advance for any and all help. bb

What I'm saying is when it comes time to get the car inspected, being a '97, it has OBD2 and when you pull all that out, needless to say, it won't pass inspection.

The swap itself is pretty simple, I hate carbs personally.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to swap rear ends too.
