Default BBF in my 03

I'm considering installing a big block ford between the rails of my 03 GT. Anyone have any advice before i rip into my recently 5.4 swaped stang....

Just grab the off the self kits for the 460 swap in a Fox body. The swap itself isn't bad at all (and the 460 is narrower than a 5.4). If you want to go FE, that's a different story...

yeah... don't. you're going to have a bitch of a time getting your instrument cluster to work, gunna need new fuel pump, fuel system converted to return style, about 3 grand in little ****** niggly parts that never seem to fit right or show up when you need them, can't smog it, among other gotcha's.

For a purpose built drag car it's not so bad but in a street car it's a terribly expensive mega bitch. Sure you can bolt the motor in but you still need a tranny and a 9" ford rear end and all kinds of other expenses. Figure on about 6 grand all in.

If you want more power from your 5.4, that's easily solved.

as for the fuel system i would be going carb so the pump and such would be easy to get and not to epensive and the gages i have a few ideas the whole inspection thing i have a few tricks up my sleeve for that one. I not looking for more power out of my 5.4 just a replacement seeing my 5.4 went south on me and i like the simplicity of the old school engines and the styling of the newer stangs. There is an 06 stang with a big block carbed and all on you tube pretty sweet looking.
