3.73 Or 4.10?
I Plan On Upgrading My Gears In The Near Future And Am Not Sure Which To Get, 3.73 Or 4.10. I Have An 01 Mustang GT, Automatic, All Stock, Its My Daily Driver And About 95% Of My Driving Is City With The Exception Of About Once Every 2 Months I Drive Back To My Home Town Which Is A 250 Mile Trip Each Way And Of Course Its All Highway 65~80 Mph. I Was Just Hoping For Some Opinions/input On Which Gear Would Be Better For Me, Thanks.

get 4.10's they are probably the best for an automatic. even though you do a lot of city driving, ur not shifting, so the gear will work for you. if you install 3.73, u won't even feel them, because i'm pretty sure that the stock rear end had 3.27's.
the 4.10's will reduce your top end speed, but its not like you ever go fast enough that you will notice. your fuel efficiency will go down, but you shouldn't be modding your car if you are worried about that.
also, you will need a handheld tuner to change the gear ratio for the speedometer calibration. get one from americanmuscle, and request a 93 octane performance tune. your car will run more efficient with it, and you'll get a few more horsepower too.

original poster, please note that spike does not mean that the gears will give you more horsepower. it just gives u better acceleration. the tune will give you more hp.

Seriously gears are the easiest thing to install, with the exception of CAI or a tune.
No matter whether it's an auto or manual I'd say get 4:10s for sure. I rode in a GT like mine yesterday with 3:73s and it felt like the stock 3:55 that came in it from factory.
4:10s. You won't regret it.
