Yes they do make them, but I think it wouldn't be a good idea to put them on a 5-speed. But thats just me..

Most installers wont touch a 5 speed with a remote start.

with auto, the car is in park so yer good to go, but if you have a 5 speed and leave it in gear then hit the remote start, yer car is gonna jump and nail something.

remote start very bad idea for 5speed.

i have remote start on my 5 speed had it on my last car too, even my girlfriend has it on her truck, just get in the habit of not leaving it in gear. also you have to find somebody you know that can install it because a shop can get in trouble if they do it. during the summer in florida you need remote start because its hot as balls outside and i like having my ac on when i get in.

www.ebay.com

Remote start is illegal to install on a manual transmition because of how dangerous it is. Bad, bad idea.

i have installed several remote starters on cars, however i will not admit to doing it on manuals. If you get everything hooked up, there will be a wire that will get power or sometimes grounded when you hit the switch. You need to hook this relay up to power and you will be set to go.

Not sure about 'stangs, but back when I had an Eclipse, I bypassed the nuetral safety switch so you could start the car without pushing the clutch in. I had planned on installing a remote starter on it but never got around to doing it. It WAS kinda fun to watch the look on friends faces when they noticed that I didn't use the clutch to start the car.

Came close a couple of times...usually after I let someone else drive the car. I guess most people leave their manuals in gear when they park 'em...I'm not one of those people.

heh, i learned to drive on a 69 f250 3 spd. it didnt have anything to keep it from starting in gear, a couple of times i almost rammed that truck through the side of the house because other people left it in gear and i wasnt used to it. i never leave any car in gear because of that truck. parking brake is good enough. besides, im in florida and its flat.
