Is their a difference between a 99-04 GT steering rack to a 03-04 SVT Cobras?

From what I remember it has the same ratio so it should be the same as a GT. I will check into it more later on when I find my book I have.

I really don't know much about the steering rack itself, but I know that the "T-bar" is different (better). I don't know what the T-bar is or what it does but I know it's better than regular. That being said, I also know that there is very little to be gained from getting a Cobra steering rack, unless you need a new one and I don't know the price differences. I read all this on Corner-Carvers, thoes people know thier ****.

Yeah from what I see here its the same as a GT rack. What's up with your cars steering rack?

Edit: OK I did some research and the rack is the same as GT. Even has the same part numbers.

yeah they are the same thing... In the cobra the bushing to the K-Mem. are harder.
and a price for a new one is like 180 something. I need to replace mine, its leaking...

In Bithlo which is the town around the drag strip there are a lot of junkyards. Go to google and search for junkyards with the area code 32828.

iirc, steering ratio....I've sold quite a few Cobra racks to customers wth GT's, over the years, so I know for a fact that they are different

also the Terminator uses different rack bushings, steering shaft along wth different outer tie rods than the other models....

In the 4th post. I didn't hit the nail on the head but I stated that the Cobra rack was different than a non-cobra. I was just making fun of how Spike and 03_GT concluded that it was the same after I said that it was different. Your information > mine.
