usually aroud 2500, but sometimes as low as 2,000rpms. Gears 1-4 should drop around 400 rpms when you shift, and when you go into 5th, it will drop around 700 rpms. I usually drive around in which ever gear puts me at or slightly below 1500 rpms. For me that would be 5th gear.

If I'm not trying to pick up speed much I'll shift around 2100. If I'm turning onto the highway or merging onto the interstate I'll shift at around 2500-3000.

I shift when the car needs to be. That could be 5,000 rpm or 1,500 rpm. There is no set shift points in a manual, you shift when it feels right, period. This is why a manual is better than an auto; variable stall and shift points.

Oh, and by the way, I never though I'd say this but I love NJ. $3.75/gal AND you don't have to pump it.

I wish! That was like a month ago here. Now 87 is $4.09. $4.29 for 93 is on the low side. I've seen as high as $4.49. So far i've noticed that it costs me $5 more to tank up this summer than it did last summer.

ahhh yes, 40+ miles to the gallon city 65+ highway and still able to go 160 mph with 0-60 mph in 2.9 sec. and the 1/4 mile in 10.53 sec. Honestly I ride as much as i can, the mustang sits a lot with price of gas, I usually just get the car out on weekends now. Plus when I rains I like to drive the old 2.9L ranger that has 180k on it

ride safe man, and to let you know insurance is pretty high at your age Im 22 have been riding for 3 years and my insurance is just now starting to drop. And if this is your first bike I recommend taking a motorcycle safety course. Oh and the 08 gsxrs have those powermode switches you can turn the power up and down from mode A,B,C
