Default Shifting into 5th -- GRINDING

Whenever i am punchin it in my car and shifting at high rpms, when i shift into 5th it makes a horrible loud grinding noise for a second while i am shifting...i dont know if this will be damaging to my car or not....what should i do?

mine does the exact same thing....2001 v6. i duno y. i tried the self adjusting clutch but that didnt even work. lemme knwo when u find out

In a v6? Why in the hell are you power shifting into 5th? you have to be going like 100 miles an hour


and it's the syncros, yes. Don't powershift into 5th... You're crazy.

not power shifting dude.....i ALWAYS use my clutch. the gears just grind. i suppose its somethin funkey with the gear box.
