Basically, my OEM headlights suck and I need something to light up the road better at night.
I am looking around for a high quality after-market headlight but don't know much about my options. Basically, it seems like there are two options: Halogen projectors / angel eye or HID. Are there any products you guys would specifically suggest. Would I notice much of an increase in visibility with the halogen projectors or angel eye's? My main priority here is night visibility, but I really like the styling of the projectors and angel eyes.

I don't know the looks of the projector/angel eye just don't look right on a mustang IMO. If you want HID's get some of the oem looking clear corner headlights and then either with silverstars or hids

Yeah, I am not sure how the projectors look in daylight either, but I love their sharper appearance at night. How do LED headlights stack up against HID and Halogen?

my car is a 2001 and my headlights are nearly perfect. crystal clear. it all depends on how you take care of them. those HID's your looking at will fog up just as fast, if not faster than OEM from what I have seen, cause none of them are sealed properly and let water vapor in. |

Yeah, but I am not talking about them fogging up. The actual coating on the outside of the lens is just eroding away. I bought a wet-sanding kit and then re-coated them which helped quite a bit, but they are still far from perfect. As far as not taking care of them, that's not really an issue either. And whatever I buy I plan to re-seal myself.

you can polish your stock headlights with normally great results. worth a shot before you spend big$$ on new lights. |

This is what I would try...if it doesn't work buy oem headlights w/silverstars like mentioned above. There is not an aftermarket headlight that looks better than oem.

do the silverstars really compare to the HID kits? Because I have to get my left headlight sanded down soon too, and would sooner by silverstars than HID if they do just the same!

Some guy on 3.8 retro-fitted projectors into his OEM housing for his HIDs and it looked pretty good.

anythings better than stock. If you don't want to shell out the money for a set of HID's then I would just go with some silverstars. May not be as bright but it will be brighter than what you have

true, I never had silverstars. I went right from stock to HID so I can't say how much brighter they will be. May as well as start off with the cheaper option and if your still not happy then go HID

had silverstars in every other vehicle ive owned.... they rock.
dont expect the blue/hyper white look though. its just a clean clear look. i see you somewhere up there asked about LED headlights.... to my knowledge, they do not make any.... i wish!
