Default CAI idle fix!

I recently purchased a CAI from a company called street beats custom. Don't buy anything from these guy's. They don't know the difference from there a** and a hole in the ground !! I will admit that I got a BBK knock-off but still it should come complete and not jacked up. Anyway's on to the good stuff!!

I installed the CAI only to notice that like many of you my car wouldn't idle for nothin and would almost die.I tryed unplugging the battery to re-set the computer , that didn't work. I will skip all the other boring details of trial and error and tell you how to fix it . It's simple- Modify/cut the rubber gasket that connect's your MAF to the "down" pipe so that your screen can fit into it. All I did was trace it with a pen and cut out the center so it can go in and not affact the seal of the component's. SIMPLE ! That thing is VERY important to the way your MAF reads the incoming air. I don't care what any one say's , your car has to have it. Before 10,000 people freak out and say no it doesn't , I referring to lightly modifyed/bolt-on Gt car's. I installed a 70mm accufab t.b. CAI on my 04 GT. Great throttle response , nice SOP improvement ! But don't exspect serious H.P. Good luck hope this work's for you also.
