I'VE HEARD THAT PRO. PRODUCTS T/B HAVE PROBLEMS STICKING OPEN/CLOSED. BUT IF IT'S ALREADY BEEN ON A STANG..WOULD THAT PROVE THAT WRONG?! I GUESS HE COULD ALWAYS TELL ME IT'S FINE AND HE'S SELLING IT BECAUSE HE SOLD HIS STANG, BUT IN REALITY HE MIGHT HAVE JUST TAKEN IT OFF BECAUSE IT WAS STICKING. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?!

buy gears and a tuner first... IMO you will not get your money's worth from this at this time.

i helped someone put in a pro products Tb and plenum and we had issues with the TB. the damn throttle cable wouldnt go on we had to elongate the hole. you get what you pay for

dont you have another thread about this same question?

I had a 75mm accufab TB with CL Plenum and it worked ok. Didn't have any issues with the products, but not really sure it was the best mod for the money.

well, i plan on getting the mod (to complete my intake setup--MAC cai, with t/b and plenum). it's more the brand i was looking at. think accufab is overpriced (is it really that muche better/shinier), but how is this manufacturer ($300 less)!?

I think accufab is overpriced as well, but i've never heard anyone complain about the quality of the product. Sometimes you get what you pay for!

accufab flows more CFM thats why they cost a little more money. i think another good plenum is dragon.
i dont think you are going to get the gains you want for the money your spending on this mod. gears tune and suspension are going to be your money maker.

if your going to get a CAI get the JLT one. stay away from the metal intakes.

I run the Pro Products plenum and t/b. I have had no problems with mine. Just a though, I would do exhaust first.

Go check out uprproducts.com, they have a t/b, plenum combo that is about $266 and their products are much better quality than Professional Products, their t/b tend to stick.

pro-prod is ok but not for beginners. their stuff never fits just right.

Do the gears first and if you want a TB get a 70mm. After that decide if 200 bucks justifies 3hp.

tb and plenum really arent needed on your setup at this point. it would not be good hp per money spent. exhaust on a v8 usually never disapoints and gears dont either.

yah, i'll look shop around for now. it's not like a HAVE TO HAVE it right away. does anybody have any experience ordering from rpmoutlet.com? i've heard good things, and terrible things about them...kinda torn.

i do plan on 4.10s this summer, then a completely new exhaust setup sometime in the fall. planning on MAC ceramic headers and h-pipe (gonna throw on a pair of pypes highflow cats), then SLP powerflow catback...

Good call, sorry about that, I've always heard good things about UPR products, never really looked into it thoroughly though.

yah well, if you've heard good things about them...would that apply for this? i dunno, guess i'll just have to go with something and hope it works out. don't really feel like spending $400 for accufab (won't get the performance to justify that), but want good quality...can i get that from a $250 pro. products setup?

pro products stuff doesn't just bolt on all the time. Every single one of their parts I've used except the intake adapter plates they now make has required modification in order to fit. For me that's no problem. I can deal but if you're not handy at the tools then pro prod isn't your bag. It's better to start with a part that just fits. FRPP & Accufab those just fit.

yah, i've heard bad things about their t/bs...but haven't really heard anything bad about their plenum. i love its polished look too. what i'm going to probably end up doing is go with the pro. prod. plenum but then spend a little extra to get either a BBK t/b or a MAC (trying to find a polished 70mm)...
