Default ROUSH SHIFTER KIT?

I'm intriqued with the Roush shifter kit as shown on AM #69100.
As of now I'm not going to put on a short-throw on my '04 GT but that
Roush kit has me hooked for cosmetic reasons.
It is so '60s looking as opposed to the "euro" look of the stock shifter.
I know this would be a mainly cosmetic change but there is bound to be a
different feel to it. My GT is my DD and my #1 toy.
Does anyone out there have this kit and what do you think?
Thanks.

Well it is a short throw shifter so it will have faster and shorter throws. It does look nice so i would do it too. Short throw shifters are like catback exhaust they all do the same thing so pic the one you fancy.

If you just want a cosmetic change, just buy a chrome Hurst stick and top it w/ either their white ball or t-handle and then throw it on your stock shifter. Or you can just buy the entire Hurst shifter...

Is that Roush kit which is just the lever, boot and **** really going to make for shorter shifts? I thought that I had to get the actual mechanism such as Steeda or
MGW or Roush for that benefit.

Yeah you need to add the base for shorter throws. Which is something you should do.
