If you want to build a road course track car then you want a full maximum motor sport suspension. Upgrade your brakes. This will be a good start to get you going.

Imo steeda they always have quality parts but sometimes you can get the exact brand (if its not a steeda made part) somewhere else cheaper.
I have steeda stage 3 suspension on my 2000 very nice equipment and have ultralight 2 rims.

Steeda works very close with ford so imo they have an advantage there..

See what brands they sell and see what you can get same item elswhere... Although genuine steeda parts are very good as well.

Anything they carry is usually top notch imo like the long block engines...well steeda.ca anyways where carrying VT engines long blocks/short blocks...

VT engines well thats a whole nother story but they had very high quality engines.

Please stay-away from "cheaper" as it could cost you or someone else's life...
one such company that has very poor quality is gms

stay far-far away from gms products if you need to know why, just visit some of the other performance sites and sea the bad

yeah ive done some research and Steeda seems like they make the best quality parts. I dont want to go the cheap route at all. I would rather pay the extra money for quality. How is the handleing on your stang with that stage 3 suspension?
Thx for the advice bro!

yeah im definitly staying away from the cheap stuff. I would much rather pay the extra money for quality. Cheap stuff always breaks and manages to usually f**k up cars and the performance is never as good as the quality made part. I looked into gms and by the looks of things, i want to be as far away from that company as i can get. Do you think Steeda is a good company?
Thanks for your time and advice!

I used to find a part I wanted and then research the heck out of it to see what peoples real world experiences have been. I personally never let anything BBK touch my mach or GT, but that was a personal preference since lots of people have their parts. I just thought they were cheap and not well designed, but that's just my opinion.

Steeda is always a good choice, but their are lots of other good choices out there as well.

I would go with the MM k-member, torque arm packages and the rear coil over kit.

Maximum Motorsports, Griggs Racing, Steeda are really the only parts I would trust.

That's exactly the reason I joined the site...I am at the point where I've pretty much added all my bolt ons and now I'm clueless as to what's next

Thanks for the input bro. From all my research and others opinions, it seems like Steeda is probably the best route to go. Who do you recommend?

Both steeda and maximum motorsports have good suspension parts. my suspension is a combination of both: steeda sport springs/bumpsteer kit/ball joints, MM c/c plates/frame connectors/lower control arms. Right now i only have the frame connectors on. The rest will be going on in May.

The only thing that I have heard good things about from BBK is their headers. They are not the best quality or the most expensive, but for the price they are very good.

ok cool, thanks for the input bro. So ive been doing some research about headers. Whats the difference between long tube and short tube headers? Which one makes it sound deeper and louder? Also, which once gives me the mostpower of the 2

Don't buy headers based on power, you buy them based on fit and performance. Long tubes make the most power but are illegal in some places and are a PITA/expensive to install. Don't even bother w/ shorties, it's not worth the lack of power you get from them.

bassman and bossman have said the same things I would have.

Suspension for a real track car starts and ends at Maximum Motorsports. Nothing else even comes close (except for maybe griggs and I use their stuff on track only cars, not on street/track cars).

You should read the stickies in the suspension forum. Also, check out the other stickies. You'll find your answers are pretty much already there.

by cheaper i mean buying the same brand from a different company silly... moroso from a different company selling moroso........what im saying is price it out just because its nike doesnt mean store 1 has best price for nike shoe model xxxx can usually find same item elsewhere "cheaper" sorry for not being clear i thought i explained it well in original post...

I have never really done a "track day" other then quarter mile but have gotten a 1.7 60 foot on mickey thompsons drag radials...not awesome but decent for a "handling package" cars that can only go straight launch better.
Steeda used to advertise that the package would make your car "outhandle anything on the road" For a lowered car it launches good.
I still have front sway bar could increase my launching straight by removing it but makes your car a death trap on the street.

Even the best handling cars in the world wont corner great with crappy tires thats what adheres you to the road...i have sumitomos not bad tire for the price but not an extreme tire.

I love the suspension but i have never taken it to the limit to be honest. The suspension upgrade was more to make the car handle well and also better safety if evasive driving is needed.

if you're looking for good parts, but still budget conscious...i'd go for MAC. i have headers, and CAI from them...love them! they might not be the HIGHEST quality, but they're good enough. and since i'm a college student, money's a big thing for me. i'm not sure how exactly they compare in quality, durability, etc...but what i've heard/read and with the stuff i have from them...i'm happy!

http://www.macperformance.com/store/...9&CatLevel=top

I also have some steeda and BBk parts...love them too though!
