Default New '02 GT (project car)....

I just picked up an '02 GT. It's pewter with black leather interior. The previous owner had already put Flowmaster mufflers (not the full exhaust, just the mufflers). It also has silver bullitt wheels and the Mach speaker system, but other than those...it's bone stock. I have a 200w Bazooka sub and chrome, 3", angle cut, roll tipped, exhaust tips waiting to go in!

I have some ideas for simple addons...I want a chin spoiler, BLACK bullitt wheels, window tint, black racing stripes, grille delete, etc...

What are some mechanical mods?? Thinkin maybe cold air intake, headers, spark plugs/cables, racing chip (do those things really work??), underdrive pullers, short throw shifter, aluminum driveshafts, coil springs, control arms, etc...

Right now it has stock pipes, but Flowmaster mufflers and chrome tips. I really wanna drop all that and put a full SLP loudmouth 2 catback system in, maybe get some MAC long neck headers...but dang, that takes $$$$ and i'm just a college student! haha

i do wanna add a short throw shifter (not sure which brand yet), and maybe some new (tighter) gears...what's a good number? i see them ranging from 3.70 up to 4.30 and higher?

but all in all...what i'm more interested in is overall additions to a stock GT. what all i've listed might be way off! what are the best (budget) mods for a stock GT, that'll give good results/style for not too much $$$

Any ideas/suggestions are wanted...anybody??............

as far as gear goes most like 3.73s for manual and 4.10s for automatic. Leave that bazooka sub out and get something that will actually sound good and not look like a joke. Ive been an installer of audio equipment and have many boxes, subs, ect. laying around and info if you need it but the bazooka should be thrown away...
