FRPP has always treated me well. Gears that whine just aren't set up properly. That said, some gears are created with tighter quality controls.

stick with FRPP. my roommate had them installed and didnt make a sound. while my motive gears with the same installer had to reset them 3 different times to try and get rid of the whine. |

not sure what kind of car you have but 4.30's are huge. Why are you going with such a big gear?

Looked at your other posts and see you have a Cobra. Don't get 4.30's. I think it will be a big mistake. You say you don't do any highway driving but how can you say? you haven't even had your license for a year. I think 4.10's will be a better choice

He has a 4v they need the extra gear and can use it. 4.30's are where its at with a n/a 4v car. Also for all the motive gear haters, you do know who makes ford racing gears right? With that said the only gears that will whine are improperly setup gears.

4.30's are fine for 4v cars. 2v maybe maybe-not. They are almost no different in felt performance 4.10's. The biggest difference comes in 1320 times.

thank you redneck and spike for the backup, yeah im deadset on 4.30s so thats not changing. and here in ks you get your license at 14, which means kids like me who grow up on a farm are driving around the age of 9, so its been more than a year for me having a license. and when you live in the middle of nowhere you dont really drive anywhere on the highway because everywhere that you would want to go is hours away anyway.

just remember when you turn the steering wheel you'll unload one side of the suspension and 4.30's will REALLY help you break the inside tire loose which can lead to spin-outs. Just remember to be careful with the throttle until you're used to it. If you grew up anywhere near a farm you know better anyway.
