HEADER SUGGESTIONS

Not sure you can reuse your xpipe as you will have to match it with the headers you will get. I went with midlength bassani headers since I want to lower it more than I couild ever do will full length. Also make sure they are ceramic coated.

Yeah, you are only going to be able to keep your current xpipe if you go with shorty headers. Everyone is going to tell you shorty headers aren't worth the hassle. They don't give very good gains compared to longtubes.
I don't have any personal experience with any other brands but I have bbk longtubes and matching x pipe. The sound and power differences were noticeable and fitment was great. We did use stage 8 locking header bolts and had to cut one of them down as it was too long to fit because one of the pipes was in the way. That was the only problem we ran into.
Definately get longtubes and do ceramic coated like stated above. I personally got a chrome set only because of the deal that I got on them. Really they just won't keep the heat in like ceramic coated will and they will get surface rust on them eventually.
