A Question..
Well im still working on apperance/suspension mods for the stang but i also want to be around or near 300hp. But in the future i want to get a kb but not for a while because i want to run the motor i have now till its up there in miles and get a bigger block (mmr longblock) and build that motor up and then throw the kb on. So basically what are some performance mods i can do to not just have that ""average"" power and put more bite in her, that wont have to be replaced in the future by the kb??
(performance) i have 3.73's, bassani catback, bassani x, mgw shifter

I'm not a 100% positive but I believe you would need a different set up with a kb blower. 297 hp would be a little high for the mods that you would be putting on your car. 270 would me more realistic. I would recommend either some Hooker headers or some SLP if you got that cash to fork over. Mac's don't have a very good reputation for being high quality but they get the job done.

Your car is pretty much stock. I bet its probably putting out around 240rwhp. To get to 300rwhp youll need heads/ cams with full bolt ons and a good tune. You can use the same heads NA and with the KB, but different cams. Youll need NA cams when you're NA and blower cams with the KB. If it was me Id just stick to mods that I can use when I get the KB, this will save you a lot of money in the long run. So get some LT's next. Skip out on the pluenum/ tb. Youll be getting rid of the plenum anyways. And a t/b along right now wont benefit you at all, maybe 3rwhp. Togehter with the plenum you might get around 7rwhp.
After you get the LT's on Id look into suspension and building up the weak points. Weld torque boxes, axle tubes, built rear, built tranny, etc.

dont bother with any cold air intake kits or throttle body/plenum combos. they are useless when you get a KB. Right now I would work on suspention. Get subframe connectors, control arms (lower at least) shocks and struts and springs.
you should just go with basanni mid-lengths as well. you can install them without taking off the kmember. they are individual pipes to a collector so its pretty easy as far as hard labor goes, and will line up with what youve already got.
