When my 5 speed in cold it's hard to shift into 2nd. But only second and as soon as the car warms up it goes in smooth as butter. Are there problems just around the corner?

If you have the TR3650 trans, it's normal. However, there was a TSB out for the dealer to fix the problem. Fill it up w/ 3.4 qts next time and you'll be good to go.

Very simple.
1: Jack up the front of the car.
2. Using your socket wrench, undo the drain plug. It is located by the tail housing on the bottom and uses your 3/8" drive on the wrench as your socket.
3. Once the fluid is drained, screw the plug back on.
4. Unscrew the plug for the fill hole. It is located on the passenger side of the trans 1/3-1/2 of the way up.
5. Fill the trans up w/ the right amount of fluid. Note, when full, the fluid won't come out of the fill hole.
6. Put the plug back on.
Tools needed:
Jack/jack stands
3/8" driver socket wrench
2 Universal joints for the wrench
various extensions.
As for fluid, I recommend Redline D4 ATF. $35 for a gallon at synlubes.com and they make the best ATF that I have used.
