Default how do i bypass mass air flow sensor

i broke my mass air flow sensor putting on a k and n filter, now when coasting or running at low rpm's 1700 to 2200 it sputters and stall, there must be a way to bypass the maf ..any suggestions

uh no. you cant bypass that important part of your car. get on ebay and start looking for a new MAF. how the F did you break it its pretty sturdy.

Default i broke it being stupid

i unsrewed the actual sensor to move it out of the way and when i set it down i broke one of the hair sensors...so trying to save 30 bucks i cost myself 100..live and learn

with that kind of part i wouldn't go to ebay. go to a local auto parts store and get something that will 100% work for your car. you're going to have to bite the bullet on this one. you need a funtional MAF, or you're setting your self up for major issues and increased cost of more parts needed like O2 senors.

Well, others have already chimed in. Taking out the MAF is like trying to eat with no mouth. It is a critical component to your car. They run about $450 new. HOWEVER, there are a lot of guys like me that have removed a stocker for an upgrade such as with a blower. I have one for example that fits a GT. Not sure what car you have.

BTW, you need a MAF specifically designed for your car. Get a genuine Ford part. Otherwise, you will need a chip and a return which will add another $500+.
