The TSB is only for the TR3650 trans as far as I know. Part of it also calls for filling the trans with slightly less fluid too I believe but I'm not sure...

Is the TSB only if your car is under warranty? Mine isn't so how would I go about getting it serviced under the TSB?

TSB is an advisory notice to the wrenches to look for that issue and be aware that it exists. It doesn't guarantee they'll fix squat. Warranties and class action lawsuits guarantee fixes.

If you're out of warranty, then a TSB just something to be aware of.

That TSB is only servicable under warranty. You can go in out of it but youll have to pay.

Well nothing is wrong with my car but just thought I'd ask for future reference.

What does the TSB say? iam curious? i have a 01 Roush w/39k on it and when its cold it seems to always grind 2nd gear not 3rd or 4th? Once ive rowed thru the gears a bit and its warmed up seems to do it a little less but i can definetly feel it bit hard to get in 2nd.

The TSB says that certain parts (including the synchros) need to be replaced and the trans to be filled with 3.4qts instead of 4qts of ATF.

Possibly, however, by you signiture, it looks like you have a 99 Mustang. The TSB was only for 01 1/2-03 w/ the TR3650, not the T45. Also, I beleive there was one for 05+ TR3650s but I'm not sure...

Just because of this glitch doesn't mean you have to hate the 3650. It's a great trans, just had some issues since it was a new trans in our cars. Mine is so bad that sometimes it forces me to shift into 4th instead of 2nd. I think next time when I change my trans fluid, I will try underfilling it to see if that solves that problem since that's part of the TSB. I suggest you try that since it may help and is cheaper than having the internals swapped.
