Default parking break problem

alright so I have a little bit of a problem. Every time I shift down into second gear and start slowing down, my parking brake warning light comes on. The brake itself works fine, and goes down normally- just when I brake or downshift and start breaking hard that it goes on. Also, yesterday I jumped on it off the line and after I hit 2nd hard, it came on. Any suggestions on why this is happening or how i can fix it would be great.

low fluid probably. do a brake flush and put dot4 in and it should fix the problem.

When you brake hard or accelerate like that the fluid is getting thrown around and making the sensor think you're low on fluid. Check the fluid level while the car is on a flat surface. If its at the line then you're good. Dont worry about the light.

Had the same problem about a two months ago when i had my line lock installed. I just added some fluid and it's fine.

don't add fluid just yet. Low fluid on a sensor equipped system like ours is a guage of sorts that's telling you your pads are going to need changed right soon. When you put the new pads in the fluid will well up back into the reservior and you'll have to pull some out or it'll overflow (neither of which are fun). Have a free brake inspection done (or pull off your wheels and look) and replace the pads if needed. Then add fluid as needed.
