headers or chip????

Default headers or chip????

hey im gonna get either headers or a chip for my 03 GT im thinking of the SCT Xcaliber from MT or the BBK longtube headers. wich do you think will have the biggest impact on my car. the chip is $400 and the headers are $500 any help would be great! thanks Brian

well, if you got longtubes you would have to get a shorty X pipe... or have your current one modded? I hear there are better gains from a new catted X than headers.. you stockers are sufficient, and header install is a bitch to do or a bitch on the wallet to have done. I would say get a nice catted X you could do yourself and keep your headers stock...

I would have to say go with the headers, then make the Tune your next mod. If you get the headers first you'll see more HP from them and even greater HP with the Tune after that.

I would save up and buy both of them at the same time! You have other mods like cat back and CAI so adding longtubes probably would mean you'll need a tune to make sure your not running way to lean.

You could always sell the street glow to help pay for the tuner and longtubes! ha ha ha...sorry, I couldn't help it.

haha ya i know what you mean with the street glow but i got them for almost nothing and they are installed really good so they look awesome at night. Well i ordered the chip right now bc it is cheaper and the headers will be ordered within the next month!

headers first....get all your bolt ons done then tune it thats what im doing at least

hey dookie... what is your 1/4 mile time do you know it? b/c i was thinking of getting pullys and a 70mm thottlebody...

dunno...no tracks anywhere around me really so im waitin to get more parts on until i even take a trip
