Coolant flush...
Okay, so this weekend i wanna flush out my old coolant and put it some fresh new coolant. I know its suppose to look green, but i checked it out this weekend and its starting to look yellowish/orangy...so i know i need to flush it...whats the procedure for this? I know the radiator has a drain plug somewhere...anybody know the process and maybe a link with pics or something...thanks guys..

The gold antifreeze is different than the red or the green. I don't know how but I've seen a couple warnings scattered about that say to use gold in the cars that came with it.
BTW... killer link. Love it.

depending on the year of your car ford decided to change up the differnt types of coolant they used in their vehicles. For example, my 02 gt uses green propolyne gylcole coolant while i know that the newer for example 03+ cars use the new gold coolant. If you have gold in your car you can switch to the green stuff (recommended) but it will take a few more steps to get it totally flushed out. Either take it to a shop and they will do it for you for about 60-80 bucks or you could attempt it at home. Your owners manual should tell you what type of coolant your car came in it from the factory so start from there.

Update!!!
So this sunday, went out to Autozone and got me two gallons of prestone non dilluted antifreeze and a small bottle of prestone "flush" and a bottle of water wetter! Got home and got to work! My coolant was extremely, extremely dirty! I could not believe it!...when i first drained the radiator for the first time, after i disposed of the dirty coolant, i found that the bottom of the drain pan full of dirt!!!Anyways took me like 2 hrs to fully clean my cooling system but i was very satisfied with the results.

Hmmmm, I think I might of put the wrong coolant in my car. Looks like I need the gold stuff and I put the green stuff in instead. Whats the difference between the two? How do I get rid of everything in there now and replace it with the green stuff? I dont want to bring my car into the shop. I havent noticed anything wrong with the car.
Im guessing I just drain everything possible. Then fill it up with water and keep the drain plug out so it keeps draining. When once its all water I drain that and pour in the new green coolant. Then how do I get the rest of the water out?

you can pull the lower radiator hose off the engine by the oil filter and let gravity take care of it for you. make sure to open the t-stat housing so the air will replace the fluid and it'll drain uniformly.
I've also gone and done the research for you.
Gold and orange/red coolants contain organic acids that protect aluminum radiators and water pumps as well as silicates that protect in other ways. Green contains neither. You probably haven't harmed anything using green so far but you'll need to do a full flush and fill asap to protect your water pump and radiator. Aluminum radiators seem to be the ticket on dex-cool and gold coolant specification.

Your not suppose to mix them.. One is Ethylene glycol(gold, orange), and the green stuff is Propolyene Glycol.. If mix, theres a possibility your radiator will produce an electric charge. (This is what I learned in mechanic skool, graduated last year).
