Bite the Bullit
#2
bullit was a commemorative model (think nascar plates but with wheels) to celebrate the classic movie "Bullit" which featured a dark green mustang galavanting through the avenues in San Francisco in persuit of a brand x muscle car of the era.
It has a special edition intake that's marginally better flowing than the stock plastic job and includes a dual bore throttle body, special tokico shocks and struts, lower riding higher rate springs, interior and exterior appearance packages, bullit wheels and badging and it came wingless in black, blue and green.
In your current trim you'd spank a stock bullit bad as long as you can maintain traction. They're just a GT but the intake responds better to supercharging than the plastic one so listen for the whistle.

The Bullitt "stock" would be around 14.8
Of course weather and location all play into E.T's
I'd try and get a peek under his hood because he may have some goodies installed. Good Luck:shifty:

14.8... you're high. Back away from the crack pipe. Stock bullit is 13.9-14.1 just exactly like a GT because the ARE a GT. The intake helps not at all and they're otherwise nearly identical.
Cobras are hampered by IRS and post times about .75 seconds over what they would if they had a decent rear end for drag racing. I beat many 99-01 cobras off the line strictly because they have IRS. When you get them down the road a bit, they'll smoke a 2V with their wild tall redline and bigger power.
Thus, CCM is correct.

I was throwing out those times off the top of my fathead.
But,take a look at this info from IMBOC=Int'l. Mustang Bullitt Owners Club http://2rdrilling.com/bullitt/quartermileNA.htm
Your right on the money at the bottom end of the list is probably stock.
13.9-14.1 I'll tell you one thing though my car never ran a 14.2 without the bolt on's. JJT's article from MMFF seems to be a lil up on the #'s wouldn't you say?
