I'd recommend against the 00' cobra R front splitter. It's a total nightmare and scrapes on EVERYTHING. constantly breaking... just expensive to own. The wings are plentiful. Pick up a copy of 5.0 & Super Ford or Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords and you'll see 150 different ads for R kits.
FWIW, IMO.. R kits on anything but an R is a let down and an overstatement. Too much rice factor. You can have whatever you like though. Enjoy.

Another vote against cobra R bumper....unless you're doing an all out replica. If I had the spare money, I'd love to get the wing, bumper, hood, wheels, and side exhaust. All together, it looks awesome. But any of the parts by itself just looks weird and/or out of place

The hell of it is that the original design for the R splitter was closer to the roush look which works better. Still for some reason the more aggressive type that actually made it to production was selected.
If you're doing it for looks, get what you like. If you're doing it for aerodynamics, then I'd get the roush front and reinforce it.

I like the look of the R splitter for the most part. The wing is the really ricey part to me (which isn't in that pic). The roush front cover clears the ground even on lowered cars and still has good aerodynamic properties and clean looks.
Still, on anything less than a real factory 00'R I don't like R body kits... that's just me. Whatever you like, do. It's your car not ours.

I agree with what redneck said. My buddy had it and it was just so impractical for daily driving, or even weekend driving for that matter. Sure it looked nice and it was deffinetly functional at highway speeds but he split it right up the center on a 3 inch divit in the road. Yeah it sits REALLY low to the ground.
Bad idea if you ask me...
