my u joint is shot...should i just replace it, or is it worth it to buy a aluminum drive shaft?

1 U-joint @$25.00, 1 aluminum driveshaft(new) @$250.00 do the math:shifty:

thats a given...but does an aluminum drive shaft make a significant differnce?
