Default Mach I Exhaust

I'm looking for exhaust for my 2004 Mach I that sounds like "Video 1" on this page:

http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2005/03/05Mufflers/

Too bad that's for the new models :censored:

Anyone know what would make it sound like that and where I can get a clip of whatever exhaust system you think would make it sound like that?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

This might help some......http://www.mach1registry.org/forums/...splay.php?f=68

You can't go wrong with Borla, SLP or magnaflow....you will get performance and sound with either of those. If you want sound and no performance go with flowmaster.

Find a muffler shop in your town that sells Flowmasters or buy the Flowmasters somewhere else and have a shop install them for you with new mandrel bent tail pipes. Mark M

The only thing is I dont want it too loud... I think the flowmasters sound the best in my opinion, why do you say no performance jjtgiants? Wouldn't any freer flowing exhaust add slight power? I'm not really looking for power gains (it would be nice though) I just want it to sound good. I like the factory sound but I just want it louder, I dont want to change the sound like some of the other systems do.

If I listen to a sound clip of a 99-04 gt, will my mach sound about the same?

If you dont want it loud you need to stick to some type of chambered muffler. Stay away from SLP loudmouths cause if you dont want a loud exhaust this is not for you. I personally have Loudmouth 1's with an O/R prochamber and longtubes and I have been told I can be heard several blocks away, but hey I like that.

I just think there are so many other companies that make exhaust that can give you sweet sound and much better performance. Again, that's just my opinion. There are a lot of guys that run flowmaster and love them so it's personal preference. Also, the Mach 1's have a pretty damn good free flowing stock exhaust system. Greg hit the nail on the head with Borla....the only bad thing is it's expensive as hell compared to the rest of the catback systems.
