Anybody use or know anyone that uses this? i am curious to see if it really works

A buddy of mine borrowed one and I wasn't too impressed. We ran it in his 89 5.0 and the quarter miles varied from like 13.7 - 15.3. Might be a fun toy but I wouldn't brag about any time you got on the thing, they just didn't seem too accurate.

I ran mine at the track and it was off by a full second. I hear the newer ones are better.

Please dont waste your money on em. They look sweet on your dash but they are very inaccurate.

i have one, ill sell it for $40 if anyone is interested. only used a couple times. my friend swears they are accurate but its really hard to tell. tell you what though they are good for judging the difference when you mod your car. say you add new tires or whatever, the times may not be exactly what you ran but it can tell if you went faster before or after. i'd say its the next step up from your seat of the pants meter.
