They said I need new plugs and 02 sensors, but I doubt that will do much.

Its all good that I have a 5.1L on the way! And then come the Turbos

Mug11 09-09-2006 03:55 PM

weird, i'm putting down more with an automatic... and smaller cams. Way low... crazy.

whitethunder46 09-09-2006 09:02 PM

5.1? Not to common, sweet!

stage2roush2002 09-09-2006 09:15 PM

Yeah I know, but it suppose to go well with the TT setup.

csledd 09-09-2006 09:47 PM

stage2roush2002 09-09-2006 10:24 PM

GREG@SN95 09-10-2006 03:37 PM

so yer putting a 312 in it?

i didn't know they made a 312 anymore...

Is it the same 312 from the 50s or is it a modular motor?

Sweet numbers. also all dyno's are different and all cars react different to the same mods.

stage2roush2002 09-11-2006 04:21 PM

Ok something was wrong! Thank god. Im taking it back Wednesday and they are retuning it! I had to reinstall my throttle body. Now its running like it use to. But it is still very rich. So I should have new numbers Wednesday.

Icefreezen 09-12-2006 01:07 PM

Oh yeah something is deffinitely not right about those numbers. thats dissapointing

Twin Turbo 330 09-14-2006 10:16 AM

So did you run it again yet?

madmatt 09-14-2006 10:42 AM

Hell, those cams dont wake up until 6k anyway. Whatd she put out???

stage2roush2002 09-16-2006 10:01 AM

I took her to storage cause they canceled my appointment. From now on DM is doing all my work. Everything is put on hold rigt now. Im waiting for some VT heads and Turbo cams to arrive and I will be finishing my new engine up.

Is there anything else I can do before i drop the motor? The motor is built for 1,250 hp.

So far I have:
*Longtubes
*Windage Tray/ Oil Pan
*Motor Mounts
*Heads
*Cams
*Intake Manifold

Are you going to be using the turbo cams before you turbo it????

If so, my tuner has always told me that turbo cams are really hard to tune without a turbo, lol. Unlike blower cams which you can get away with without using a blower.

VT said it will be fine. I dont want to have to spend another $600 to get cams put in when I put the turbos on this summer

I'm sure it would be fine. You'll just won't see that much of a gain compared to say N/A cams. But since your getting turboed, I can totally agree with what your doing.

Good luck!
