shit but hopefully my exhaust pipe wont be toching the ground cuz right now, if i go kind of fast threw a speed bump (not a speed hump) my pipe's will scrap. n i know for sure that if i put my stock rims back on my stang will be lower. i dont know how much by though, ill take a pic later on n post it on 2morrow cuz my pipe's are low low

I know what you mean, there are places I can't go becuase I would freaking high-center the car and ruin the exhaust.

What size are your stock rims? The ones you have on now are 17", the base rims were 15" and the next up were 16". That's a 1" and a .5" difference in radius, and I would bet that the sidewall is taller on your stock rims so it makes the difference even less. Give me the sizes.

3.8LMustang 05-14-2008 08:37 AM

15" all around they look like these

Well, I actually think you should leave your aftermarket rims on for going to the strip becuase it really won't make that much of a difference. I bet your stock tires are pretty crappy and if you have any traction problems now it will only be worse at the stip. What are the tire size for thoes stock rims, 205-60-15? And your aftermarket rims, 245-45-17? something like that?

ya i think so, but on mothers day whenever i saw my stock tires n they looked like they had alot tread left on them other then my aftermarket rims, lol, so i think ill get good traction at the strip :D

01FR500 05-14-2008 08:54 AM

The amount of tread left has little to do with how much traction you'll get unless your driving through mud or snow. If your old tires could have all the tread in the world but if you can dig your nail into them then they won't bite very hard. If your aftermarket tires have more than 3/32nds and you can dig your fingernail into them more than the stockers, then thats the ones I'd take. Or look at the traction rating for the tires.

3.8LMustang 05-14-2008 09:00 AM

im gonna use my stock rims & tires cuz my aftermarket rims are an everyday driver n im gonna use my stock rims & tires for drag only, n then when my stock tires go then ill buy sum drag tires for them :D
