Default 1/8th mile times 5-18-07....

Went to the track last friday for the first time on my new big & littles w/ BFG DR's. I need more practice with them. The first time up it was dead hook off the line but then she bogged and ended up 2.2 60ft.

Then I tried slipping the clutch more and it spun off the line but didnt bog and went 8.57 w/ 2.1 60ft @84mph. That was the best run of the night but not even close to what it should be running. There is definately at least a 7.60 in this car if I can get the 60ft's down. Just need practice I guess. Kept getting killed by some bolt on mach1 cause he was launching better and was even on street tires. One of my buddies ran a 8.06 with an 03 GT bone stock motor. He has k member, coilovers, strange adjustables, UCA's & LCA's, and cuts 1.60 60ft's. Making me look bad out there.

Your biggest problem is trying to launch on 3.27 gears. You need more gear so you can leave hard and not bog. I know i had the same problem when i first got my nitto drags on i was bogging like crazy. Its time ot save up and regear that car with atleast 3.73's but if you like drag racing 4.10's are much better.

heck yea! they'll be here tuesday as a matter of fact, lol. i ordered motive 3.73's, a motive bearing kit, and a couple qt.'s of royal purple gear lube. if AM carried the 7.5" t-lok i woulda ordered it that from them too...but they don't, and AMEmilie just said that alot of ppl have to request them for them to carry'em....so i'll prolly just order it from jegs.com....v6mustangstuff.com has them for 200, but i've nvr ordered from them, or know anyone that has, so i'll prolly just pay the 30 extra at jegs, and get "free" shipping.
