Merc Marauder goes down

Had a nice little run in with one last night. I was cruising along and noticed some distinctive head lights in my rear view. At first I thought it was a police officer but as he passed me I noticed it was a marauder. Now I love these cars when Ford brought back the marauder name and used the 4 valve V8 in them I always thought they were cool ass 4 doors. Anyways we catch a light (I wish we had gone from a dig, more on this later) We both pull out normaly and I look over and notice he's doing the same. Ahead of us is a car in his lane so I speed up a bit so he can get behind me and pass the car if he'd like and he does. After passing the car I see the front lift up and can hear the ever so lovely sound of Ford V8 power

I step on it and flip the arming switch around 2800 rpm's. I think I was around 45 miles per hour with the O/D off not sure though honestly. I stop his pull and by around 75ish I have a car and a half on him

Guy pulls up after I shut down and gives me the "I can't believe I lost to a V6 but nice car look and nod" LOL. Anyways for about a 1/4 of a mile I try to catch a light to go from a dig but we couldn't and he later pulled into his apartment complex. I went on my marry way happy about my not so expected win.

nice... marauders have been turning in low 14 second times stock. Your nitrous hit musta been just the ticket.

Must have been. Funny thing is when I got nitrous I just wanted to break into the 14's. I guess I might have a high 13 second car on my hands. Makes me happy
