Ok, so the Mullet man comes out Friday night and talks his Gand National he just baught up to be nasty and would smoke any of the mustangs in the parking lot. Well the guy kept claiming it was stock and wouldnt pop the hood so nobody would run him...well stupid me who just doesnt give a flying **** told him i'de give him a shot. Everyone said he was gonna probably scar me up knowing they are quick stock. Well we go out and run....1st run dead stock: I jumped him right off the line and won by 7 car's, it was bad. 1nd run 1st gear roll he goes when he's ready: he took off when he built boost and i chased....cruised by him when i hit 2nd, pulled about 4 more car lengths in 2nd gear and let out after i hit 3rd. Not bad at all in my opinion.

Yea i know street racing is illegal, but oh well if a good rush!

Those things were fast for the day, but keep in mind they rolled out in the late 80's when a 0-60 car in the low 7's was fast.

 

I got smashed on one on the highway once. I knew they both were heavily modified though. I think that was the first day I had my car too.

 

ooops...first day with the car is like -85 hp.

 

I have a buddy that owns 2 of em... they are pretty quick, and liek you said.. they use to bash on the vettes back in their day lol.

 

Suprisingly mullet man didnt have any excuses, besides saying he's pretty sure it's been ragged hard. From what I saw all it had a LT1 Maf/k&n intake/Maf resistor box and custom chip he said. My buddy said he came into Advance Auto and was askin about my car..was it really stock besides exhaust. But what he doesnt know dont hurt (N2o'ed him in 2nd gear lol)

It was a clean car tho...it was a "T" top one and fit him good for having a mullet lol.

 

Try running Stock to Stock and he will eat you up!!! I raced a turbo V6 GN and it ate my V8 UP!!!!!!! Those cars are fast

 

Honestly without the shot, dead stop I still would have won, I walked away in 1st gear on motor! Like I said before tho the car had been ragged some kinda bad and I think it was in need of a good tune up. I wouldnt doubt one in top notch shape and running good would beat me stock for stock, but either way it was fun without a doubt.
