THANKS Greg A chip simply tunes your cars computer so it responds to all the mods that have been done to the car correctly. And Produces more Horsepower anywhere from 2-10hp depending on what programs you get on the chip...It is always a recommneded idea to get your computer tuned so that engine will perform better with added mods. For example..if u het a aftermarket intake,Throttle body, Manifold. And U have a full exhaust. It could be possible that you are running really lean...The chip should even out the air/fuel so that the car runs better, And it should make throttle response alot better/smoother. If there is a SCT dealer near you that has a DYNO.. I would go that way instead of the mail-order chip. DYNO TUNES are always more beneficial. Oh and the chip simply plugs into your computers J3 port. |
thanks 4 the reply...
i'm really not big with comuters, i was just reserching it. Generally i've done work on classic cars with those good old carbs. thanks once again |
