You guys need to be realistic.....anything being made overseas because of the falling dollar is going up in price. I can't speak for the details here, but if AM is raising prices, rest assured everyone else will be to. The stuff all comes from the same places and all retailers are under the same pressures.
Man, many, many raw material prices have sky-rocketed. For example, molybdate has increased ten fold, caustic just went up last week by 40%.....in one day....these are commonly used materials in just about every manufacturing process. Additionally, with oil being $110/brl freight and power costs are way up too.
Don't be be soo snippy about price increases. Do you think AM is stupid? Of course not....but if you feel you need to shop somewhere else, by all means do. I think you will see prices falling into line everywhere.
Some companies who have large inventories of items stored-up may actually be able to afford to keep prices down until inventory is depleated, but sooner or later, it will all go up.

they will go up also.. completely agree with WaterDR gotta look around what isn't going up in price? You have to factor in how they get the materials fright has sky rocketed. Materials go up from the manufacture leading in an increase in price. It's not like the company just feels like taking more of your money

Whoa...those prices are way too high though...and I work here! A closer look at our store to those of you that frequent it will see that the pages are displaying the "Market Price", but are not displaying "American Muscle Price"! There seems to be a glitch on our store that none of our sale prices are showing up! This glitch seems to have happened sometime over the weekend, and our IT department is working diligently on correcting the problem. Anyone that has made a purchase over the weekend and was charged the higher price can contact us at 1-877-841-1275, and we will adjust your order so that you get the correct lower price and you will be refunded back the additional charge. If you need to place an order in the mean time, just call 1-877-841-1275, and our Customer Service Representatives will be able to place your order at our usual lower prices.

LOL yeah, I am sure many of you had mini-heart attacks when you saw those prices! Like I said, we are working diligently on fixing the store, and it will be back to normal as soon as possible!
But like WaterDR said, raw material prices have gone up exponentially! And the costs of metal are sky rocketing through the roof! If any of you are into one of my other hobbies, target and trap shooting or hunting, you have seen the costs of ammunition go up exponentially the past year due to the rising costs of metal. I would not be surprised if prices on automotive parts followed the same suite and started to rise also.
If prices went up though, it would because the manufacturer was raising the price we paid for it, so you would see the price go up for every store around the same time. Price increase would be by a product by product basis, we would never impose a giant store-wide price hike like the glitch caused this weekend.

Consumers should also recognize that February and March are the traditional times for yearly price increases for most industries. Just like we expect yearly cost of living increases from employers, employers have to get that money from increased prices. It's a vicious cycle.
