Default 95 5.0 choking up

I just got a 95 5.0 GT with 115k on it and when i rev it up it goes good until about 4500 rpm then it seems like it just stops reving hard. it goes but it feels like it lost some power, and reaches 6000 rpm a little slow. Is this common on mustangs?? I already changed the fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil and filter, and air filter. everything is brand new. the injectors look like their in good shape and the pump seems fine. i dont know what it is or if thats just how it is. anyone else have this problem?? help me!

You've covered the basics..
Check your timing.. with the module pulled out you should be at 10 deg adv stock but can go up to 15-16 deg on some 5.0 without detonation (run higher octane gas if going this route)

I would get a professional injector cleaning done;
Also 02 sensors might need replaced

I just thought of one other "problem area"; my buddy had a '95 and had to replace his ignition module twice.

try cleaning the MAF while you're under the hood. Can't hurt.

pretty easy. Take the "cap" off it with a torx bit driver, then use carb cleaner to hose off the filaments. let dry, reassemble.
