How complete is the 5.0. I mean all accessories, exhaust, radiator, etc.?
Sure would be nice if you had the computer for that motor. No where to be found? Are V6 and V8 trannys the same. If not, will need correct one and possibly driveshaft of different length. 6s and 8s get different rears? Even if they did I guess one for a sixer would work, for now anyway... I'm not real familiar with such swaps specifically in FoMoCo products, but from other experiences it is never a straight direct line to do such swaps. You'll have to tweak this and thats always, but maybe not too bad. Surely someone around here has done such an operation. Suspensions, engine cradles, canisters, valves, vacuums - so many things may be either slightly or completely different. I guess a lot depends on what direction you'll be going with the car. Trying to keep it EPA friendly and all the creature comforts dictate largely what all your swap will consist of.

it's a complete 5.0 motor no alternator but the one from my car will work.i do believe that the tranny will work but i'm also pretty sure sure the drive shaft may have to be smaller. one of my buddies is going to swap out his rear end from a svt cobra with 4.10 gears with my v6 rear because he is parting out his car. but we'll see what else i'm gonna have to do.

The tranny will bolt up but I thought the input shaft on the tranny was different for the V8, needed to be heavier duty to handle more tq. Stock T5 even for the v8 were a little sketchy once you started to add some power.
I'm not sure what's involved with moving a mod motor car to a pushrod, I've done the 4cyl fox to a v8 but I had a donor car for the springs, K member, rear....and computer. It was still a pretty decent project that took some creativity at times.

yeah i talked to one of my friends thats worked on mustangs since he was like 14. i asked him if my tranny would have to be different or have to upgrade it at all, he said i would need a new bell housing which i already knew he also gave me a free wire harness for the motor which i was lucky to stumble upon. the fly wheel on the 5.0 will have to be re surfaced and the clutch i will have to buy a new one. but so far i'm gonna need bell housing computer and the clutch, and also the gaskets because i'd rather know all the selas are new and i wont be blowing smoke and have to rip it apart.
