Smile Got a few new things

So i was driving by a junk yard and just so happened to stop. I asked the guy if he had any late model explorers. He just happened to have one with a bad bottom end knock. So i asked him how much and he said $100.00. The engine had the gt40 style intake and what i thought to be gt40p heads. I bought it and immediately tore it down when i got home and found that the heads actually had a F3ZE-AA marking on the head. That makes them true gt40 heads right? Anyway i just had to share what i think was a good find. What kind of horsepower gains should i expect with this combo? I do plan on porting them before i put them on. Granted all applications are different i am just wondering if someone can give me a ball park figure.

ported gt40 heads should give you a ballpark figure of 35hp (i dont know what your bolt-ons consist of. i would throw a set of cams with that setup (since you got a STEAL on those heads) and push your HP up even more since you are in there anyways.

My mods consist of UDP's, BBk headers, BBk intake pipe,73mm mafs,b303 w 1.72rr's,electric fan,h-pipe(no cats),flowmasters, smog delete. I also have the 65mm throttlebody off the explorer. Can i use this? I hope this can help you make a better assumption. Thanks

You want feedback ask the right questions. What year is your car? 5-speed or auto?
